Galvanised Steel
Galvanised steel is available in a small range to suit applications where stainless steel is not required. The mesh is manufactured from wire that has a thin zinc coating. It is not really suitable for external applications unless the surface is treated.
Galvanised steel is mainly used for internal applications as it is not protected from corrosion. This product is used as a cheap alternative to stainless steel.
Sefar does not manufacture galvanised steel in Australia. It is all imported readymade and Sefar Metal Mesh add value to it by converting it into an end product. Galvanised steel is not very popular these days because it corrodes and the range is not as large as stainless steel.
